<p>Extreme fat loss can come at a price. We are blinded by the ads that promise &#8220;Lose 10 Pounds in 5 Days&#8221;. We throw down our money in the hopes of finally shedding some pounds. If you are willing to take it slow, you will find that a fast weight loss diet is absolutely possible.</p>

<p>Failures Of Extreme Fat Loss</p>
<p>Ok, so your friend tells you shes on this quick weight loss diet and that she has already lost 5 pounds this week, and your thinking &#8220;wow, I could do this&#8221;. The problem with this type of diet is that it usually involves some degree of starvation thus causing a lack of the nutrients your body needs to maintain proper health.</p>
<p>Extreme fat loss also produces what is know as the yoyo diet effect: You start to lose weight, then you hit a plateau, then the weight all comes back.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you&#8217;ve been thinking about going on the Medifast diet and you&#8217;re wondering how fast does Medifast work, let me assure you that it is probably one of the fastest weight loss diets available. But like any diet, it is important to stick to the plan as outlined, otherwise you&#8217;ll find your weight loss can stall or even stop altogether.</p>
<p>Most dieters who decide to start doing the Medifast diet plan tend to be significantly overweight. Often this means that the first month on Medifast you can see some seriously significant weight loss. When I did Medifast, I dropped about 25 lbs my first month and a total of 65 lbs over three months. My weight loss slowed after that and it took quite a bit longer to lose the final 15 pounds that I had to lose.</p>
<p><span id="more-36"></span></p>
<p>But I must admit that I did not follow the plan as closely during those two months. I was a bit fast and loose with my lean and green meals and there were days that I ate two Medifast bars. You are supposed to limit yourself to one bar each day. So the fact that it took me nearly two months to lose those final 15 pounds isn&#8217;t that surprising.</p>
<p>One of the things I really liked about Medifast though was that initial fast weight loss. It&#8217;s a big psychological boost to see the weight come off and the changes in your body. And it helped me to stick it out when I had just the 15 lbs left to go because I had already done most of the work.</p>
<p>After awhile though, the Medifast foods can get a bit boring. So if you want to stick to the plan and keep your weight loss moving quickly, I recommend that you try and use all of the various recipes for Medifast foods that are online, just to keep things interesting. You don&#8217;t want to get so bored with the diet that you go off of it before you&#8217;ve lost all of your weight. Stick to the foods that you like and don&#8217;t re-order the food that you don&#8217;t like. You will have less likelihood of slipping up if you don&#8217;t force yourself to eat stuff that doesn&#8217;t taste good to you.</p>
<p>If you keep your eyes on the finish line, and stick to the Medifast plan &#8212; 5 Medifast foods and one lean and green meal every day &#8212; you can definitely reach your weight loss goals much faster than you would on most other diet plans.</p>

<p>When you are at a fast food restaurant, there are certain factors to take into consideration. Of course anything fried should be immediately eliminated from your list of choices. We all know that fried food is laden with calories, cholesterol, sodium and numerous other preservatives. And keep in mind that your kids should also stay clear from anything fried. French fries, onion rings, sodas, and super-size meals are all bad news. They will quickly rob you of your health and of your slim waist. While at the drive through window, you should opt for a salad with dressing on the side or a grilled chicken sandwich without the works (no mayo, bacon, etc.).</p>

However, the most important thing to remember about fast food is to never make it a daily habit. If the diet you are currently consuming consists of more than one visit to your local fast food joint, you should rethink your meal plan. Because if you want to lose weight, no diet pill will help you do so with bad eating habits such as this one.</p>

Perhaps you have a great dress that you bought in the hopes of losing ten pounds, but just haven&#8217;t gotten around to losing enough weight to fit into it. In addition to supplements and other weight loss products, maybe the solution to your problem is a seven-day diet.</p>
<p>Seven-day diets are developed to be followed for ONLY seven days, with at least two weeks in between. The popular cabbage soup diet, for example, has stringent guidelines for days one through seven, and promises a weight loss of about ten pounds in a week. As long as you go back to a sensible diet program after your seven day stretch, it is presumable that you can lose weight and keep it off. If your problem is obesity, this might not be the best plan for you, but if you&#8217;re just a little bit overweight and just want to fit into those jeans from high-school this is a great alternative to a diet like Atkins or working yourself to death at the gym.</p>
<p><span id="more-33"></span></p>
<p>It goes a little something like this. Day one: eat any fruit except for bananas, and as much cabbage soup as you want. Drink any unsweetened teas and cranberry juice and plenty of water. Day two: Eat as many veggies as you can stand. Try to go with leafy green stuff (cooked or raw is fine) and stay away from dry beans, peas, and corn. Eat any veggies you want with your soup, and for a hard day&#8217;s work congratulate yourself with a baked potato for dinner. You can even splurge with a little butter. For day three mix the first two days up, except no baked potato. On day four, eat as many bananas and drink as much skim milk as you&#8217;d like with your soup. No other fruit or veggies. This day is designed to lessen your sweet cravings.</p>
<p>Now you&#8217;re already half way through the week. That wasn&#8217;t so hard, was it? On day five, you can work some meat into your diet with either chicken (no skin!) or beef. Ten to twenty ounces of meat and up to six fresh tomatoes with at least one serving of your soup makes for an exquisite day of dining. Day six you can eat as much veggies and beef as you&#8217;d like with at least one serving of soup. On one of the two days, you can substitute broiled fish for your beef, but not both. On the last day, eat some brown rice and drink any unsweetened fruit juice. Eat as much as you&#8217;d like, and make sure you eat soup at least once.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s it. By now, you should have achieved your short term weight loss goals with this low-fat diet, and with continued sensible eating and supplements, you should have no problem keeping the weight off.
